Running Cadence, Mid-Foot Landing

in the category: Fitness

A quicky article reference from Michael Rivers of i run pure

We stumbled across this short article from Michael Rivers discussing good running form and cadence. I am not familiar with Michael’s work, but he’s an advocate of proper form and a good cadence. We can get on board with that.

The article has photos perfectly illustrating mid-foot landing compared to heel striking—the heel striking one should make you cringe, if only just a little.

He recommends running with a metronome, but you know we believe the right running music is much better for helping you maintain cadence and stride tempo.

Check out michaelrivers.com and i run pure if you’re curious.
