Some good stuff this week, including info on running headaches, the Alltop.com hook-up, LOST marathoners and the theory of relativity.
It's been an interesting week, for sure. http://Running.Alltop.com launched this week, and we're excited to have been a part of it. We've also had the honor of posting Power Foods for Runners from athlete and running expert Paul Stofko.
On top of all that goodness, here's 10 links from around the web:
I love this little questionnaire, and Nick Symmonds' answers. How would you answer them?
Hy. Sterical. If you're a LOST fan (and a runner), this is a funny mash-up post from I'll Run for Donuts
Some advice about avoiding hyponatremia from Dr. Lewis G. Maharam. Over-hydration during a marathon (or other race) can have serious consequences.
A nice article on motivation, accessing Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs (yep, straight outta undergrad yo) for insight. Take the test and figure out what motivates you.
Get headaches after you run? Check this out.
A Twitter-driven "knowledge base" that organizes information based on categories submitted by users. Just launched this past week and is still growing. Pretty darn slick!
The title says it all—good accessory recommendations for runners. The Road ID suggestion is great (I opt to carry my driver's license, insurance card and CC when I run, and only get shorts that have that little inner pocket...), but passing out during runs is something I hope never to do.
Another one from Running in Columbus, GA. Yeah. You really can't beat this. Well, you probably could, but you wouldn't have a job afterwards.
I caught this guy's spot on CNN—check out the pics and how he was able to transform himself. Really informative and inspiring.
This post makes you happy you read Hawking's "A Brief History of Time". Okay, maybe not. But it's a fun (and thought provoking) connection of relativity science and running. A good quick read.
Let's keep it polite and on topic.
