Hey, you! Links! Come get 'em. Innovative marketing from Converse, info on joint mobility and thoughts on "Why we run".

It's July? Already?!? We have a nice article on osteoporosis from Paul Stofko, as well as some jazz recommendations in the last Caboose. Was the jazz new to you, or one of your favorites? Let us know!
We're also brewing up a new feature that we're quite excited about, allowing you guys to write in and get expert advice from a Certified Personal Trainer and RRCA Certified Running Coach (*hint* *hint*). More on that shortly. Rest assured, it's gonna rock the ropesack.
A collection of thoughts and answers to the question "why do you run?". Why do you run?
A nice little give away from the folks at Cranky Fitness. I'm thinkin' this one's for the ladies...
Genius! Converse' new ad campaign. Totally entertaining and (I think) revolutionary. Have fun with this! They definitely thought this through.
Here's a nice little contest from Runner's Lounge, revolving around the "Why We Run" theme they're developing. A new set of kicks is a nice little bonus for telling your story. Check it out!
Tips for not getting sick on your vacation. I like this—it's scary when you're trapped in a plane for 6+ hours, wondering if all the coughing people around you are going to keep you room-bound all week.
An interesting take on the Fight or Flight response. Whether it's true or not, it sure doesn't hurt to get away from the cubicle/computer and put in some miles, or at least get some exercise.
I like the idea of joint mobility exercises, although I haven't researched them (yet). Mr. Low Body Fat endorses them heartily, and provides some insight.
A little more about joint mobility (while we're on the topic). "Simply put, joint mobility is the active pursuit of joint health through movement." The author goes on to explain the benefits and virtues.
Since I like to give blood and I like to run, and I like to not pass out when I'm running because I gave blood, I found this an interesting topic on the Runner's World forum.
Is this postmodernism at it's finest? Or just things working the way they're supposed to work? The Violent Femmes covering a Gnarls Barkley song. Brilliant. Reciprocity is a wonderful thing.
Good gym advice from The Art of Manliness. Well, except #10. I'm thinking that anyone that can do a really good head-level roundhouse head kick has probably hit the hip adductor/abductors a few times, and a good roundhouse kick is pretty damn manly.
A running lingo dictionary—I like it! I've seen some before, and this one's just starting, but they're open to suggestions. Share your lingo knowledge with them and help it grow.
(As in, "He's not playing with a full deck.") My favorite would have to be "As useful as an inflatable cheeseknife." These might come in handy some day.

Let's keep it polite and on topic.
