Alltop.com, the "digital magazine rack" from Guy Kawasaki, now features running sites!
Man! I tell ya, Twitter is too cool.
I started following Guy Kawasaki (twitter.com/guykawasaki) relatively late in the game—I was probably follower number 14,978—but I'm very glad I did. One evening he was tweeting about suggestions or submissions for Alltop.com topics, and it occurred to me they didn't have a running category yet.
@guykawasaki is there any plans for a running.alltop.com? I haven't seen any Twitter discussion yet, but I know there's a lot of us out here
@HellaSound No plans, but if you collect the feeds, we'll do it.
@guykawasaki it's a deal! Shall I send them to info@alltop.com (per the site instructions) or other? Thanks!
@HellaSound guy@alltop.com would be fine. thanks
A quick run over to Google Reader, a quick export of all the running blogs I follow to OPML, a quick email to Guy, and 10 days later we have magic: http://Running.Alltop.com!
Tim Wilson of 26.2 Quest also jumped on the opportunity and suggested his blog, but I already follow his RSS and submitted it, so we were good to go ;)
Sadly, HellaSound.com is pretty far down the page. Like, near the bottom of the page. Well, at the very bottom of the page. But hey, I ain't complainin'—I'm stoked that we have a new resource, and I'm ecstatic to have been a part of it. Sorry if your site or blog wasn't one of the ones I submitted. I'm not sure how they manage what stays and what goes on Alltop.com (and I think it changes relatively frequently) but I'm all about running blogs; I feature links to blogs every Wednesday. So if you have one I don't know about, leave a comment below!
Thank you Guy and all at Alltop.com for setting this up! WHOOOOOOOO!!!!
Let's keep it polite and on topic.
