What's everybody been up to? Let's find out!
Over the last however-many months of existence, we at Hella Sound have had the pleasure of chatting with some very cool athletes. What better time than the present to see what everybody's been up to?
Paul "Crazy Legs" Stofko
Paul had a beautiful little baby boy, which is about the biggest news somebody can have—congratulations! He started a daddy blog to document all the firsts. What a cute kid. Paul is also offering the Intro to Ultra Running Weekend in the spring in Estes Park, CO: check out Active at Altitude for more information, or click here to view the program's details (PDF). As if that was not enough, he's hosting the second annual Crazy Legs 10k+ Trail Run. It looks like a fun, challenging race—check it out!
And, as always, he's answering your running and training questions in Ask "Crazy Legs". Got a question? Email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).

Amy Güth
A tireless dynamo, Amy launched Bonkless—a detail-oriented fitness site that helps athletes of all stripes fight the bonk in its various, nefarious forms. She also became Managing Editor at So New Publishing, a publisher of profound and unique literature. She's also started podcasting "a little" on both Bonkless and her blog Bigmouth. She recently ran the St Jude's race, raising money for care of children with cancer and disease. Unfortunately, somewhere along the course she jacked up her foot—possibly from kicking so much butt—so she's now recuperating and planning her race schedule for 2009. Finally, she may put a funny little chapbook [Wikipedia's entry for "chapbook"—I didn't know either. —Editor] out before
her new book is published.

Steve Speirs
As always, the British Bulldog's been doing a lot of running and a lot of push-ups. Steve ran the Richmond Marathon in hot, humid, windy conditions. Nevertheless, homeboy missed a PR by less than 30 seconds. Wow. And if you look at his PR stats...wow. On top of it all, he's been doing the Jillian Michaels: 30 Day Shred DVD workout with his wife. Finally, folks'll be pleased to know he finally found, bought and took delivery of the coveted VW Bus. Now he's having fun buying old bits and pieces for it.

JeeForce
Jeraldine was recently down in San Diego with Team Krank supporting the Challenged Athletes Foundation during their triathlon event. She's also setting up shop at a new, edgy Hollywood studio, Made In LA Fitness, working with owner Andrea Lawent. Lawent has coordinated a bootcamp program with Jillian Michaels of NBC's The Biggest Loser fame. [Methinks Steve should have a conversation with Jee about Lawent/Michaels... —Editor] When she's not whipping everyone else into shape, she's out hiking Runyon Canyon in Hollywood.

Gail Konop Baker
Gail's been touring the continent with her book Cancer is a Bitch—she ran some of the San Francisco hills when she was doing a reading out here. In an interesting mix of media, Gail created a playlist for Largehearted Boy with songs relevant to Cancer is a Bitch
. Pretty fascinating stuff. Finally, mark your calendars: Gail will be interviewed by Dr. Oz on Oprah and Friends radio on January 28th. How cool is that?
