This is a Step-Ups workout intended to help build speed and stamina and is composed of:

  • 10 minute warm-up segment, building in intensity
  • holding moderate intensity for 15 minutes
  • step-up in intensity for 5 minutes
  • 5 minute cool-down

You may use a heart rate monitor for this workout, and shoot for these zones:

  • build up to zone 3 heart rate during the warm-up
  • hold zone 3 for 15 minutes
  • step-up to zone 4-5a heart rate
  • cool-down as usual
